The count is 104,366 dead - brave Americans.

And we have to watch an American elected leader who apologizes to Europe and the Middle East that our country is "arrogant"!

HOW MANY FRENCH, DUTCH, ITALIANS, BELGIANS AND ARABS ARE BURIED ON OUR SOIL, DEFENDING US AGAINST OUR ENEMIES?

WE DON'T ASK FOR PRAISE ... BUT WE HAVE ABSOULUTELY NO NEED TO APOLOGIZE!!

I hope you remember this when election time draws near!

The Fourth Estate, Fifth Column

This is a brilliant article on what is happening in this Country right now.

The Fourth Estate as Fifth Column

Our system of government both permits and encourages dissent as long as that dissent is not expressed violently or used as incitements to violence. In those cases, freedoms of speech and of the press can border on sedition and should be supressed to preserve order.

America’s mainstream media, the MSM, may not yet be guilty of sedition but may be guilty of crimes far more reprehensible: giving aid and comfort to the enemy and serving as handmaidens to a repressive government.

The motivations of the MSM are beyond this observer’s comprehension. Even after the president’s grudging acknowledgement that we are engaged in a war with al Qaeda, various elements of our media continue reporting falsehoods and/or concealing truths.

Examples would include continuing to bury facts concerning the Fort Hood murderer’s contacts with al Qaeda as if Major Hasan deserved some media protection, or in order to conceal the scope of Islamic terrorism in America.

More incomprehensible is that it took Obama, this most brilliant of men, over a year to come to the determination that we are engaged in a war against terrorism and, even then, it took an attempted al Qaeda bombing on Christmas Day to provide the catalyst for his concession to reality.

One has to assume that the MSM reporters and editors who consciously conceal relevant information about an avowed enemy are either ignorant of the consequences of defeat in a war, that they for some reason are committed to accomplishing that defeat, or both.

Trying to arrive at some rationale for the state of America’s Fourth Estate and why it is today functioning as a Fifth Column, a group acting in concert to subvert the United States, is a daunting and discouraging enterprise, daunting because it’s not transparent, discouraging because it’s difficult to accept.

A summary of some contemporary thought and context:

The Fourth Estate, a nation’s press and media outlets, functioning as a Fifth Column is not unprecedented in world history although it is in ours, at least for as long as we have been a republic.

Colonial newspapers and periodicals were greatly influential in undermining the force of the Crown in the colonies. Without them our Revolution may never have happened but that was then, when we were struggling for our independence, this is now, when we are struggling against an insidious, worldwide foe.

In the last century, leftist journalists largely representing the international Communist Party worked diligently and tirelessly to subvert the nation from within.

However, Communist publications such as the Daily Worker and the People’s World had little effect on the thinking of the masses because most people understood they represented the radical underbelly of society and their appeal and distribution were confined to equally radical elements.

Enter the modern versions of those publications and the “New Media,” what some have identified as the philosophical progeny of the Communist radicals of the thirties, forties, and fifties.

Long before the U.S.S.R. was soundly defeated in the Cold War, those Marxists and Leninists retreated to the ivy-covered walls of academia where they were free to warp more minds than they ever could through the publications such as the Daily Worker.

And what better route was there to achieve a geometric progression of their influence in academia than through schools of journalism?

There they could mold young minds in their own image and when their acolytes graduated to the real world they would spread leftist propaganda under the guise of being members of the mainstream and thereby subtly brainwash those masses who were beyond the tentacles of overt conversion.

Voila! Today’s MSM!

Evidence of the mainstreamers’ insidious agenda is both clandestine and transparent, covert and overt.

The covert is only hidden from those who choose not to see, those who absorb the MSM propaganda from ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, as if it were biblical truth.

Thanks to media self-censorship, those innocents remain ignorant of such trivia as President Obama’s proud declaration of having campaigned in all 57 states and his inability to pronounce the name of the Christmas Day underwear bomber, amusing errors comparable to Bush 43’s mangling of the English language.

Whereas Bush was widely ridiculed as a nincompoop, the flubs of Obama, the media’s darling, are hidden from the public to preserve his messianic aura that same media created.

Manufactured messiahs can’t very well be allowed to screw up.

Much more unsettling, substantive news concerning Obama’s close affiliations with extreme leftists such as Bill Ayers and convicted felons such as Tony Rezko also go unreported or minimized.

Perhaps worse is news presented as objective reporting which is tailored to fit Obama’s needs.

ABC providing a televised bully pulpit for the president to convert unbelievers to the cause of Obamacare last June was a horrendous exhibition of abject surrender of journalistic integrity which ABC reinforced by denying opponents any right of rebuttal.

(See “ABC, Exemplar of a Media that Once Was,” http://bit.ly/4IIiZX)

As legislation to impose socialistic health care on the American people moved forward, the MSM exacerbated its surrender by downplaying the clandestine, closed-door negotiations conducted by the Democrat Party and ignoring Obama’s pledge of the ultimate transparency, live telecasting on C-Span.

The mass media’s abnegation of its responsibility to be fair, reasonable, and objective in domestic matters is a serious breach of journalistic ethics. When that breach extends to foreign affairs during wartime, it becomes a threat to national security, a dangerous Fifth Column in our midst.

None of what today’s mainstream media publish or articulate can be easily categorized as seditious dissent. Much of what is being reported, unreported, and mis-reported can readily be categorized as malicious deception.

The greatest irony is that the more they deceive, the more their readership and viewership abandon them and consign them to journalism’s scrap heap.

Obama says "Drill Baby Drill"

When I heard the news this morning that Obama was going to be announcing his plan to back off shore drilling in the Untied States I thought I was a dreaming. BUT lo and behold I wasn't.  I can only imagine how the environmentalist are feeling at this very moment!  Confused, betrayed, lied to? Most likely all of this and much, much more.  BUT wait............................why would Obama be doing this when he vehemently campaigned against off shore drilling in the U.S.? Perhaps, just perhaps he's throwing a bone to the Republicans in the House and Senate by giving them something they have long wanted.  However by throwing them a bone Obama will want something in return, you betcha'.  That something is their support of Tax and Spend or better known as Cap and Trade.  I hope the Republicans don't get sucked into Obama's trick and trap game!  Cap and Trade, if passed would tax every single household in America and quite frankly we cannot afford it. We are drowning in debt right now and this administration is spending like never before.  They are imposing generational theft on the children and grandchildren in this country that are yet to be born!!

Bye, Bye Miss American Pie

This was the day America died.  With the back room deals, the payoffs, the briberies, the arm twisting and worst of all the corruption that took place on the part of  Obama, Pelosi and Reid  to secure the Democratic votes to pass the Socialist health care bill is disgusting to say the least.  As Michelle Obama said when BHO secured the Democratic nomination in 2008 "this is the first time in my life that I am proud to be an American", I say this is the first time in my life that I am ashamed to be an American!

It's truly frightening to think that this women is third in line to be President!  Listen and let me know what you think. Just read the headline on this video "We need to pass health care bill to find out what is in it." HUH??

The Old Man

As I came out of the supermarket that sunny day, pushing my cart of groceries towards my car, I saw an old man with the hood of his car up and a lady sitting inside the car, with the door open..
The old man was looking at the engine. I put my groceries away in my car and continued to watch the old gentleman from about 25 feet away.. I saw a young man in his early twenties with a grocery bag in his arm, walking towards the old man. The old gentleman saw him coming too, and took a few steps towards him.. I saw the old gentleman point to his open hood and say something.
The young man put his grocery bag into what looked like a brand new Cadillac Escalade and then turn back to the old man and I heard him yell at the old gentleman saying, 'You shouldn't even be allowed to drive a car at your age.' And then with a wave of his hand, he got in his car and peeled rubber out of the parking lot.
I saw the old gentleman pull out his handkerchief and mop his brow as he went back to his car and again looked at the engine. He then went to his wife and spoke with her and appeared to tell her it would be okay. I had seen enough and I approached the old man. He saw me coming and stood straight and as I got near him I said, 'Looks like you're having a problem.'
He smiled sheepishly and quietly nodded his head. I looked under the hood myself and knew that whatever the problem was, it was beyond me. Looking around I saw a gas station up the road and told the old man that I would be right back. I drove to the station and went inside and saw three attendants working on cars. I approached one of them and related the problem the old man had with his car and offered to pay them if they could follow me back down and help him.
The old man had pushed the heavy car under the shade of a tree and appeared to be comforting his wife. When he saw us, he straightened up and thanked me for my help. As the mechanics diagnosed the problem (overheated engine) I spoke with the old gentleman.
When I shook hands with him earlier, he had noticed my Marine Corps ring and had commented about it, telling me that he had been a Marine too. I nodded and asked the usual question, 'What outfit did you serve with?'
He had mentioned that he served with the first Marine Division at Tarawa, Saipan, Iwo Jima and Guadalcanal . He had hit all the big ones and retired from the Corps after the war was over. As we talked we heard the car engine come on and saw the mechanics lower the hood. They came over to us as the old man reached for his wallet, but was stopped by me and I told him I would just put the bill on my AAA card.
He still reached for the wallet and handed me a card that I assumed had his name and address on it and I stuck it in my pocket. We all shook hands all around again and I said my goodbye's to his wife.. I then told the two mechanics that I would follow them back up to the station. Once at the station I told them that they had interrupted their own jobs to come along with me and help the old man. I said I wanted to pay for the help, but they refused to charge me..
One of them pulled out a card from his pocket looking exactly like the card the old man had given to me. Both of the men told me then, that they were Marine Corps Reserves. Once again we shook hands all around and as I was leaving, one of them told me I should look at the card the old man had given to me. I said I would and drove off.
For some reason I had gone about two blocks when I pulled over and took the card out of my pocket and looked at it for a long, long time. The name of the old gentleman was on the card in golden leaf and under his name 'Congressional Medal of Honor Society.'
I sat there motionless looking at the card and reading it over and over.
I looked up from the card and smiled to no one but myself and marveled that on this day, four Marines had all come together, because one of us needed help. He was an old man all right, but it felt good to have stood next to greatness and courage and an honor to have been in his presence.
Remember, OLD men like him gave you FREEDOM for America Thanks to those who served and those who supported them.

America is not at war.

The U.S. Military is at war.

America is at the Mall.

If you don't stand behind our troops, PLEASE feel free to stand in front of them!

Remember, Freedom isn't "Free" -- thousands have paid the price so you can enjoy what you have today!

Coffee, tea or Tae Kwon Do

He Messed With the Wrong Flight Attendant

Lorin Gorman is a fourth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do

A San Francisco man, accused of forcing a flight to divert because he was high on medical marijuana, picked the wrong flight attendant to freak out on.

Lorin Gorman of Chula Vista is a fourth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Those skills may have averted a serious situation in the air.

US-Air flight 1447 was on its way from Philadelphia to San Francisco.

Gorman, 51, says she noticed Kinman Chan, 30, early in the flight. "He was looking back at me, waving hi," Gorman said of the man in seat 17-C.

But soon enough, the passenger became aggressive, Gorman says. "He's banging around, screaming in the back bathroom, he's opened all the compartments," the attendant remembers.

According to a criminal complaint, Chan walked out of the bathroom with his pants down.

"I said, ‘You need to sit down now’,” Gorman said.

He did not. "He went like that with his elbow," Gorman said, bracing her wrist as she threw an elbow at shoulder height. "Well, what I did, I just put him in an arm lock. To get his other arm, I had to jump up on the seat … He was resisting. He was stiff. At that point, I just put him into a choke hold."

The plane was diverted to Pittsburgh where Chan was arrested. He told police he'd taken a double dose of his medicinal marijuana, eating two pot cookies before the flight.

"After 911, I took special training with my grand master to learn how to deal with small spaces and also what to look for in passengers," Gorman said. "I'm glad I was there."

Kinman Chan was charged with disrupting a flight attendant, which can carry a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

An American soldier died today

He was getting old and paunchy
and his hair was falling fast,And he sat around the Legion,
telling stories of the past.Of a war that he once fought in
and the deeds that he had done,In his exploits with his buddies;
they were heroes, every one.And 'tho sometimes to his neighbors
his tales became a joke,All his buddies listened quietly
for they knew where of he spoke. But we'll hear his tales no longer,
for ol' Bob has passed away,And the world's a little poorer
for a Soldier died today. He won't be mourned by many,
just his children and his wife. For he lived quite an ordinary,
very quiet sort of life.
He held a job and raised a family,
going quietly on his way;And the world won't note his passing,
'tho a Soldier died today. When politicians leave this earth,
their bodies lie in state,While thousands note their passing,
and proclaim that they were great.
Papers tell their life stories
from the time that they were youngBut the passing of a Soldier
goes unnoticed, and unsung. Is the greatest contribution
to the welfare of our land,Some jerk who breaks his promise
and cons his fellow man?Or the ordinary fellow
who in times of war and strife,Goes off to serve his country
and offers up his life? The politician's stipend
and the style in which he lives,Are often disproportionate,
to the service that he gives. While the ordinary Soldier,
who offered up his all,Is paid off with a medal
and perhaps a pension, small.
It's not the politicians
with their compromise and ploys,Who won for us the freedom
that our nation now enjoys.
Should you find yourself in danger,
with your enemies at hand,Would you really want some cop-out,
with his ever waffling stand?Or would you want a Soldier--
his home, his country, his kin,Just a common Soldier,
who would fight until the end.He was just a common Soldier,
and his ranks are growing thin,But his presence should remind us
we may need his like again.
For when countries are in conflict,
we find the Soldier's partIs to clean up all the troubles
that the politicians start. If we cannot do him honor
while he's here to hear the praise,Then at least let's give him homage
at the ending of his days.Perhaps just a simply headline
in the paper that might say:
"OUR COUNTRY IS IN MOURNING,
FOR A SOLDIER DIED TODAY."
